Input based modules
Our input modules are specially designed to interface with a wide range of sensors. From digital, frequency and analog to 4- 20 mA. The modules inputs flow through the automotive connector. The pinning depends on the particular module that is installed on a specific slot. Our controllers come with a configuration document. This document provides the pin-out for the controller.
The 6 and 10 channel input modules do have:
- SUPPLY – Used to safely supply a 5VDC powered sensor.*
- GROUND – Used to provide a clean ground to the sensor.*
- INx – Signal from the sensor to the controller.
In case a 4 – 20 mA input module is used:
- INx – Provide the supply (~16VDC) to the passive sensor.
- GROUND – Return of the current loop.*
*) If multiple 5VDC supplies or grounds are needed, wires can be spliced.
