GOcontroll Moduline S1

The Moduline S1 is our most compact programmable modular controller — built around the STM32H573 (Arm Cortex-M33) with an ESP32-C3 wireless co-processor. Where the Linux-based M1, L4 and HMI1 target high-compute applications, the S1 brings the same modular GOcontroll philosophy to compact, real-time and IoT-focused machines.

Plug in up to 2 I/O modules, program it in C or with the GOcontroll AI Application Builder, and connect it to the world over Bluetooth LE, LTE and GNSS.

GOcontroll Moduline S1

Key features

  • STM32H573 Arm Cortex-M33 @ up to 250 MHz · 2 MB flash · 640 KB SRAM
  • Real-time FreeRTOS firmware
  • Up to 2 plug-in I/O module slots (input, output, bridge)
  • 2× CAN FD interfaces
  • Bluetooth 5.0 (LE) via onboard ESP32-C3 co-processor
  • LTE and GNSS as plug-in options
  • Onboard IMU: accelerometer + gyroscope
  • 1 controller enable input · 1 multicolor RGB status LED · internal RTC
  • Over-the-air firmware updates via Bluetooth LE
  • Built to support ISO 24089 software-update workflows and EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) compliance
  • Programmable in C (GOcontroll-CodeBase) or the GOcontroll AI Application Builder

Applications

The S1 is designed for compact, connected applications where size and real-time performance matter:

  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Data monitoring
  • Fleet tracking

Connectivity & wireless

An onboard ESP32-C3 co-processor handles Bluetooth 5.0 (LE) for configuration and over-the-air updates. For cellular telemetry an LTE plug-in and a GNSS plug-in add remote connectivity and positioning. Two CAN FD channels connect the S1 to vehicle and machine networks.

Software & programming

The S1 runs real-time FreeRTOS firmware. Develop your application in C using the GOcontroll-CodeBase library — the same public API as the Linux controllers — or build control logic with the GOcontroll AI Application Builder.

Firmware is updated over the air via Bluetooth LE. The update workflow is built to support ISO 24089 (software update engineering) and to help you meet EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) requirements.
