The Challenge: Managing Complex Fuel Cell Systems

Fuel cell systems, particularly Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) types, are gaining traction in automotive, agricultural, maritime, and small industrial sectors due to their high efficiency and zero-emission output. However, these systems require precise control over parameters like temperature, humidity, and load demand to operate safely and efficiently. The complexity of integrating various subsystems—such as hydrogen supply, air management, thermal regulation, and energy conversion—poses significant challenges in system design and control.

GOcontroll’s Solution: Customised Control Systems for Fuel Cells

GOcontroll addresses these challenges by providing fully programmable control units tailored to the specific needs of fuel cell systems. Utilising their Moduline controllers, GOcontroll develops control systems that manage all critical aspects of fuel cell operation, including hydrogen and air processing, thermal and water management, and energy conversion. Their solutions are designed for flexibility, allowing for rapid prototyping and deployment in various applications. In collaboration with H2Consultancy, GOcontroll has contributed to the development of 5kW, 10kW, and 35kW multi-purpose PEM fuel cell systems,  providing services such as system architecture consultancy, software development, and the design and manufacturing of custom components.
