Output based modules
Our output modules are designed to handle a wide range of actuators with relative high current in low side, high side and half bridge configuration. For each output module that is installed in the controller, a dedicated fused supply needs to be connected on several controller pins. Our controller come with a configuration document. This document provides the pin-out for the controller
To protect the output module we strongly advise to use a fuse to protect the module supply of the output module. Choose your fuse that meets the requirements for you application but do not exceed the maximum current the output module is capable to handle. When a module has more than one supply pin (e.g. 6 channel output module has three module supply pins), connect (splice) these pins into one wire that goes to the fuse. Do never fuse the ground.
The 6 channel output module, 10 channel output module and 2 channel power bridge do have:
- SUPPLY – These are the pins to connect the fused positive supply on.
- GROUND – These are the pins to connect the ground (negative) of your supply to.
- OUTx – These pins can be connected to an actuator
