Wired ethernet

The easiest way to connect to your controller is using ethernet or Wi-Fi. When connecting via wired ethernet, there are two options:

Connecting to a network (with DHCP)

By default the controllers are configured to get an IP address assigned by the DHCP server in the network. If the controller is connected to the network and switched on, the IP address can be found by tools like Angry IP scanner.

Once a network scan in performed, an IP address should be found. The output from Angry IP scanner could be something like this:

In this example, the IP address from the controller is: 192.168.1.16

Connecting directly to a controller (peer to peer)

Before you can connect to the controller directly using ethernet, the controller should be configured with a static IP address. There are several ways to configure static IP address on the controller.

  • GOcontroll app (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth option on controller is required)
  • Command line via USB
  • SSH via Wi-Fi
